In November we encouraged our readers to enter the ultimate contest by Bolle.
The competition winners getting a pair of the new Bolle ULTIM8 safetyglasses and goggles.
Last week we recieved notification that we had won second prize in the draw and here they are!
Here are my thoughts after a little look at these glasses.
Firstly they are very light weight. They also feel quite robust and look like they are able to take a bit of punishment in the work place if required. I’ve tried stretching them , bending them and even hitting the lenses pretty hard and nothing happens to them.
Trying them on with the head strap as shown below they are a very snug fit and can be adjusted both at the headband as well as at the temples which can be moved around for added comfort. The red foam part creates a great seal to stop unwanted particles getting in.
I have then removed the head strap and replaced it with the side arms to wear them as glasses. They come with easy to understand instructions and the process takes about a minute. Initially I was a little cautious when removing the head band as the instructions advise you to wait for a click as you push the headband attachment into position. But when you’ve done it once it is very straight forward.
You can see from the picture below how the glasses look with the arms instead of the headband. Again a good fit and as expected not as tight fitting as with the headband. The arms also allow for a little more manouvreability around the temples.
Overall a light weight, strong and easy to use addition to our hybrid range of safety glasses and goggles.
